Enrichment at Lunar Landing

Lunar Landing has been such a blessing! With all of the excitement for our school, we have decided to open enrichment classes each week! Enrichment classes will provide children with an opportunity to hone in on strengths while enhancing creativity, critical thinking, and social skills. These classes are geared toward children ages 2-5 and make an excellent addition to any preschool or homeschool curriculum. Classes are a drop-off program, so parents can head over to the grocery store, grab a latte or run an errand while your child is enjoying their class! For parents that are interested in enrolling in back-to-back classes, a snack will be served between classes. 

Pricing is $25 per class or $30 for drop-in classes.

Please Note: Each class is billed monthly and can be canceled at any time provided that a written letter is given to the preschool director prior to the billing date.  

TableTop Jr.

This class spends the bulk of it's time acquainting children with board games. Board games are phenomenal way to teach your little one about life skills, problem solving strategies, and have numerous academic implications. They allow your child to master new skills from number and shape recognition to letter recognition and they even improve manual dexterity! A recent study even revealed that kids who play board games have superior math abilities. With all of that said, this seemed like a perfect avenue to walk to enrich the lives of our little scientists. 

TableTop Jr. is offered on Wednesdays at 12:15-1:15 PM. 

Little Lab

Little Lab is modeled after our Genius Training. During this time, students will be invited to explore a question utilizing a specific set of tools. We will do an experiment or hands-on activity that promotes a deeper level of understanding for the subject matter. We will finish the Little Lab hour with a relatable art project and book. STEAM based classes help to encourage a child's curiosity, develop creativity, communication and critical thinking skills.

Little Lab is offered on Thursday From 12:15-1:15 PM. 

Coding for Preschool

It's no surprise that technology is involved in each and every field, but what may be surprising is that block coding can be taught to children at a very young age! With the help of programs like Codeapillar, Dot and Dash, Osmo and Puzzlets, our hour of code will build a fantastic foundation for our little scientists to grow with. 

Coding for Preschool is offered on Monday from 12:15-1:15 PM. 

Reading and Math for Preschool

Reading and math skills are a blast in this action packed hour! We will read and interact with literature, play games and even create stories. Students will learn American Sign Language as it corresponds to letters of the alphabet and phonemes. Students will sing songs and practice Muscle Math! We will use puzzles, blocks and many other engaging practices to build a foundation of skills for our future scientists. 

Reading and Math for Preschool is offered on Tuesday from 12:15-1:15 PM.
