Furthermore, in a study conducted by Capital One, 37% of parents will be paying more than $1,000 per year for their child's after school activities. 20% of families will pay more than $2,000 per year. Yet, after doing some additional research and in surveying accounts, Financial Samurai found that a family who earns $500,000 a year or more will spend above $12,000 per year on school and after school activities.
